"The meal schedule in Spain is very
different than in the United States. They have toast, cookies, or pastries for
breakfast and then have lunch at 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Lunch is the biggest
meal of the day, and can include typical Spanish dishes such as paella,
tortilla de patatas, or judías. Since they eat dinner around 9 pm, most
Spaniards have a merienda, or snack, in the middle of the afternoon. " --Mercer
