Toledo
"The first trip we took in Spain was to Toledo. Toledo is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in all of Spain. I was the capital of Spain before Madrid. What makes this city totally unique is the fact that Jews, Christians, and Moors were all able to live together, back when in most cities, if you were not Christian, you were kicked out. Each religion had its own third of the city with unique architecture. We saw historic cathedrals, synagogues, and mosques all in this extraordinary city. Toledo is also famous for marzipan, an almond flavored dessert that we all loved! All in all, we loved our visit to the gorgeous city of Toledo." --Marlo
